Here’s the basic overview of my life…My name is Sarah. My parents moved to Kenya as missionaries when I was 1 year old and I had the wonderful privilege of growing up in Kenya. I lived there until I came back to the US for college. I went to college on Lookout Mountain, GA. After college I lived in the US for a bit, Kenya for a bit. I fell in love, got married, and moved to St. Louis. My husband, Kirk, took a job as the music director of New City Fellowship – St. Louis. We have two kids.
On a more personal level, I started this blog because I feel like I’ve entered a new phase of life. Though I know that God has always been working in my life, I feel like He’s working in such awesome ways in my life lately. Kirk and I love our church here and feel so encouraged in our walk with God and in how He gives us the priviledge to bring about His kingdom to this broken world. At the beginning of this year we bought and moved into a house in St. Louis City. My home. I love my home. I love that it’s given us a block of people to get to know and “neighbor friends” for Joanna and Sam. I love city life.
The other major working in our life is our desire for more children. We’re hoping/praying to adopt the “rest” of our children (we’ll see how many God gives us). We got two cats to give me something cute to cuddle with while I wait. I am so excited to find out who God is going to bring along to join our family.
